Martial Arts Pool is a “Martial Arts and Crafts” fighting style the practitioners of which are referred to as hustlers.

Overview[]

Being based on the Cue sports the art makes use of a few reliable pieces of weaponry. The first includes a billiards cue which allows the use of the slip-thrust method of Sojutsu–i.e., a thrust delivered with the rear hand, where the shaft of the spear slides through the loose grip of the forward hand (similar to using a pool stick). This combined with the mechanics of pool makes a cue to be nothing short than a lethal weapons. Like in pool the style relies on perception and awareness of surroundings in order to analyzing the movements of the enemy in order to lead them to where you want them to go allowing user to strike from unexpected angles and still take foes by surprise.  Though primarily an offensive art this also makes the style excellent at defense and evasive maneuvers.

The other set of weapons utilized by the art are billiard balls. The techniques of Martial Arts Pool are referred to as Trick Shots and involve launching billiard balls from a distance to harm or trap opponents. Tossing a ball into the air and position her pool cue to strike the ball as if she's playing billiards a Hustler’s masterful skills in playing pool, allows them to shoot the balls with the same level of expertise as a marksman firing a gun as well as bounce them off nearby surfaces towards a target to prevent the opponent from figuring out where they are heading.
