Musabetsu Kakutō Jūnjutsu (無差別格闘ガン術 Gun Technique of Indiscriminate Grappling ) also known as Anything Goes Gun Fu is a sophisticated close-quarters gunplay often resembles a martial arts battle played out with firearms instead of traditional weapons. It is designed to remove the disadvantage most Martial Artist suffer while fighting gun wielders around alien alloy. The idea behind Musabetsu Kakutō Jūnjutsu isn’t to destroy your enemy rather; it is to crush the enemy’s strength. Even if you can’t win the battle as long as you manage to protect what’s important to you then that’s all that matters.
Overview[]
Gun Kata, which is a militant combat style that teaches efficiency in the use of gun tactics by expanding on the a Martial artist ability to dodge bullets by reading the intent of the shooter and moving out of the line of fire. Using mental focus and battle meditation Gun Kata involves a great deal of mental and physical discipline relying on logical prediction and move-reading instead of reflex and reaction. The essence of the style is the mastery of a heightened state of mind and body that actually allows the brain to accept more input from the senses and send commands along nerve paths at an equally accelerated rate, allowing them to track fast-moving objects with ease and even predict the subsequent movements of those objects.
Thanks to this the mind works in the same way as a computer with unlimited storage capacity, only much faster. Also, the mind allows user to instantly recall specific information with incredible speed and accuracy. It's able to store everything that user experiences in a photographic memory and retrieve it immediately without the typical human pause for thought. The sheer speed of users thoughts are so fast that they are able to make snap decisions about their surroundings and create complex scenarios at that same speed.
Developed through analysis of thousands of recorded gun fights, it tracks the probability of events and antagonists by piecing together the stored data.
A close quarters gun-based martial art, Gun-Kata emphasizes kata, or body positioning and movement exercises. This is important because each kata of Gun-kata is designed for maximum efficiency in both lethal force and defense. The Gun-Kata treats the gun as a total weapon. Each new position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defendant clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the mastery of this art, a person's firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%.
Because this is a martial-arts form that analyzes all the patterns and possibilities of fire-arm combat, a master of this art is able to predict how a battle will happen before it starts, allowing them to react to actions that have not even occurred. This ability also work by letting them see the outcome of the battle they want, and working backwards, following the right steps to get there. Because of this masters of this style are often mistaken for seers.
Description[]
While the Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū doesn’t normally use guns as part of its weapon lineup, but the style is nothing if not adaptable. Musabetsu Kakutō Jūnjutsu was created in response to the alien alloys making it impossible to judge the trajectories or the intent of bullets. Used to cope with sudden attacks or indoor situations it was created by Special Lieutenant Ranma Saotome using input from India Squad, Juliet Squad and Yankee Squad.
This Martial Art seems to focus on utlizing different "Stances", focusing the user's attacks or defence depending on the Stance. This Martial Art also utilizes a great amount of speed, agility, and flexibility. In keeping with the Anything Goes philosophy the style employs a wide range of firearms regardless of size, weight or model. shotguns, submachine guns, rocket launchers, and just about anything else that can be worked into a cinematic shot. Each to match the situation that it is in, thus fitting a number of niches to broaden user’s skills.
Since like any martial art the gun is seen more as an extension of users arm then a weapon, this allows user to hold them in an unorthodox manner. Shooting a gun from each hand, shots from behind the back, as well as the use of guns as melee weapons are all common. For example pistols can be held upside-down allowing them to be wielded like Tonfas, with the pinkie used to pull the triggers. While rifles can be wielded like kodachi's when held in a reverse grip.
Musabetsu Kakutō Jūnjutsu more commonly utilizes one gun vary rarely adopting a two gun style, unless the situation demands it. In keeping with the deceptive nature of the Anything Goes System this allows user to utilize their natural ambidexterity to lore opponent into a false sense of security by using their non-dominant hand the switching their dominant hand when needed. Adopting a two gun style raises users attack capabilities significantly.
Thanks to mixing Gun-Kata with advanced hand-to-hand combat skills user’s accuracy and precision will drastically improved. Through the employment of their natural reflexes, agility and skill user only needs to aim for an instant before they can precisely hit a target. Both Ranma and Shampoo have been been shown repeatedly firing off bullets at various angles and speeds without any known restraint. The marksmanship gained by this style is quite profound, rarely ever being inaccurate about a target's position, and almost always hitting the mark, whether utilizing it for melee combat, or even when considerable distances away from what would be considered an 'ideal' shooting distance. It has also shown to be very skilled with to the point where user is able to take down multiple targets within little time and with near pin-point accuracy, such as hitting the tiny gaps in the joints invisible from the outside, or accurate enough to shoot into the barrel of opponents gun.
Because of its training user becomes is resistant to perception-distorting abilities. If a target is moving they can calculate the best method to hit it. Visual obstructions like smoke and vegetation do not hinder user’s ability to get an accurate read on target, and allows them to shut out outside distractions. User is also trained how to compensate for environmental factors that would normally throw off aim like wind, air resistance, gravity, water, and radiant heat (which distorts the image of the target).
History[]
The concept for this style was discovered during Operation Pathfinder while the characters were in The Bleed. Since Thanagarian weapons were like radiation packets that do much more damage to organic enemies than ships. They were forced to target the weapons exclusively. However this proved easier said than done as it was damn near impossible to take an aimed shot under these circumstances. After the mission was over Ranma and Shampoo worked together to perfect the skill which eventually evolved into this art.
