The Trial Sword is a normal looking black and light gray sword handle.

The Trial Sword is used to aid in mastering Shinuchi. The need to invoke the Aramitama is superseded with the act of utilizing the sword to imprint ones true selves onto it in order to forge a weapon all their own. This is where it gets its name from the handle attains wielder toward conversation with their Aramitama, allowing them to weaponize the part of the soul inclined toward battle. This means that the manifestations produced are unique for each individual who wields it so little is known about it. By learning to invoke the Aramitama, through the handle, they must eventually learn to manifest it onto the outside.
