The King of Fighters Tournament is the first of the KOF tournaments in the Ranma Universe.
Overview[]
The tournament follows the standard 3-on-3 rule, each team will send a fighter forward and they will fight it out until one of them loses. Then another fighter will take the loser's place and so on. The team that wins the match, by defeating all three fighters of the other team, advances to the next round. You lose only by being knocked out or being forced out of the platform. the matches are divided into two blocks. Matches one, two and three are part of the first block while the others are in the second one. The fights also alternate between blocks.
Story[]
This tournament is hosted by Geese Howard in an effort to regain his empire in this new universe. With the aid of Nabiki Tendo he used her resources to find the various fighters invited.
